Pacific Outdoor Living is very professional without losing that personalized touch! Our yards were not that big but they treated us like million dollar customers! From the first time I called til the day they packed and left, it was all seamless and stress free. The yards look great and neighbors are envious! Specially mention to Jose, Onesimo and his crew! They were friendly, efficient and overall awesome! We hope we have more patios that need work! Thank you Pacific Outdoor Living!

We had Pacific Outdoor-Sun Valley landscape our front yard. They totally worked with our vision and budget! Our house is small and we wanted a drought resistant landscape. People stop by walking and compliment us about the yard!

We waited 30 years for this project; I could never find someone that understood my vision for a changed driveway approach and an open courtyard to our front door. Until I found Joseph Acosta at Pacific Outdoor Living. It did not stop there though, the execution of the plan was fantastic, with each team coming timely and working tirelessly to make our tired old yard a showcase! I believe the company's phased process worked perfectly! We are grateful for the transformation to our home and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

These guys did a wonderful job on both my driveway and a patio in my backyard after I decided to fill in my pool. (They had also done an excellent job on the pool deck five years earlier, before I knew I was going to fill in the pool.) I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas.

Pacific Outdoor Living did my pool and hardscape and I honestly could not be happier. Not only did they do exactly what they promised, the quality was amazing, the timing was so fast (they were at my house EVERY day working) and the people were a pleasure to work with, especially my project manager Khalil. The quality of the pool equipment, tiles, coping, pavers, etc. was just amazing. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible. I have already recommended them to my friends as I know they will take excellent care of them.

Pacific Outdoor completely redid our backyard, front yard landscaping, put pavers on the driveway, built us a pool, and we couldn't be happier!! They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right!

In 2017 we undertook a major backyard renovation with Pacific Outdoor Living, resurfacing and new coping for a 1950's era pool, adding a jacuzzi, a heater, and a lot of pavers. POL was very professional, with detailed blueprints, timelines, and cost breakdowns. The entire project finished on time and on budget. Nine years later we couldn't be happier as the pool and jacuzzi have held up remarkably well with no issues.

We are absolutely beyond thrilled with the work that was done at our home in Shadow Hills by PACIFIC OUTDOOR. We have a 1/2 an acre of land and needed pavers laid from the front of our driveway all the way back to the end of our property!!! It was a tremendous job and they did it like a piece of cake. Employees were hard working, kind, respectful of my home and safety. The job came out gorgeous. We would not go anywhere else to have work done! They are truly THE BEST!

It's been 12 years since Pacific Outdoor Living installed pavers on our broken asphalt circular driveway. It looks as beautiful now as then. The materials, workmanship, and service were stellar. The driveway is a highlight to our renovated 1940's ranch-stlye home. I am still thanking Pacific Outdoor Living!

We hired Pacific Outdoor Living to redo a very basic pond in our backyard and to add a waterfall feature and they did an excellent job of creating a pond/waterfall feature that we enjoy on a daily basis. Chad designed it and his team brought into existence and several years later it is still working great!

The team at POL were amazing to work with from start to finish. They did very large hillside job for me that was very complex and technical and involved numerous deep caissons and a laser level infinity edge. They even custom measured me to make sure the hot tub jets were in the right location. Our back yard is like a resort and magazine worthy.

Step 1 of 5

Base Plan

Mapping the site before design began

The base plan outlined the property's layout, highlighting the home's footprint, open lawn, driveway, and mature trees. It also mapped out key utilities and the unique L-shaped configuration of the lot. This detailed groundwork helped the design team plan dedicated zones for the pool, outdoor kitchen, and entertainment spaces, setting the stage for a smooth transformation.

Deliverable

Property layout documentation, utility mapping, and lot configuration analysis

Why it matters: A precise base plan keeps every later design decision grounded in the property's real conditions.

Questions Homeowners Ask Before We Begin

The first step is to get in touch with one of our appointment specialists who can help get you set up and propose the right steps to take. You can do this by either filling out an estimate request form at the bottom of this page, or by calling us at: (818)275-8271. The next step will be a site analysis. A specialist will come to your home to measure your property, then return to our office to create a CAD drawing. The cost for this typically ranges from $600 to $800. Exceptions may apply, but the Call Center Specialist will review them with you. We would then have you come into the office and meet one of our talented designers who will do a rough sketch and give a sense of what the project may actually cost as well as what design fee would apply to complete a full plan.

Yes! Well, everything outdoors, that is. We offer just about any outdoor landscape and hardscape service you can think of, including custom pools, pool remodeling, stylized landscaping, patios, driveways, ponds, outdoor fireplaces, custom masonry, custom carpentry, irrigation, outdoor lighting and more!

You can always get your own permits but we typically pull all permits needed for your job. We have our own in-house permitting department. No need to take time off work to wait in any long lines or deal with confusing guidelines.

Our warranty varies based on the type of work but is consistent with industry standards. When you meet one of our designers, they can walk you through it or call for more information.

We are VERY unique in the Design/Build world. Very few companies have their own in-house crews, specially trained for every trade involved with building your project. This means there will be a different crew handling demolition, landscape, pavers, etc. on your job, and not the same one doing it all. Each crew is supervised by an on-site supervisor so your project goes smoothly. To top it off, we usually work six days a week until your project is complete.

Depending on the size and scope of the job, a landscape design will most likely be needed. Our designers can create one which is then yours to use, should you wish to get other bids for your job.

A custom design varies anywhere from $300 to $1850. We leave the amount up to the designer depending on how much work is involved. The design fee covers site measurements, an illustrated design, a 3-D design and revisions as needed.

We service Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, from Calabasas and Woodland Hills to Glendale and Pasadena, and everything in between. Check out our service areas here.

Yes, our minimum for projects is usually $7,500. There are times and circumstances where the minimum is waived for past customers.

The landscape design process varies depending on the size of project, revisions and discussions needed along the way. We pride ourselves on making the design process as painless as possible. Your award-winning designer will work tirelessly until you’re 100% satisfied before starting. Generally it takes 2 to 5 weeks for completing the average design.

This can vary as well, depending on the size of the job, permits needed and many other factors. Very small jobs can be wrapped up in a week. Large projects can sometimes take 3-6 months. Your designer and job supervisor can give you a more exact timeline once your design is complete.

No, Pacific Outdoor Living does not offer landscape maintenance services, however we’re happy to recommend trusted local companies specifically tailored to your home’s needs.

We usually include a 4-week monitoring period, where a landscape tech will check timer settings and make sure plants are doing well. All our plants are covered by a limited warranty which covers replacements and service.
